What is TRACCURATE? TRACCURATE is a new, affordable AEI tag reading system that features Short Line Technologies’ new SLT-100 wayside reader, and Short Line Data Systems’ ROCSScan TM interface software. Compatible with any of the Traffic Management Systems that are out on the market today, TRACCURATE brings AEI tag reading to any railroad.
What makes TRACCURATE different from the other AEI readers on the market? Very simply, cost. The TRACCURATE system is affordably priced at a level that is a fraction of the other systems on the market. The TRACCURATE system is designed to integrate with your existing traffic management system, or it can be used as a stand-alone event reporting system. Since most of the features of TRACCURATE are software based, we can customize the functions of the system to your needs.
What do I need to install a TRACCURATE system? The SLT-100 reader uses standard 120VAC power or as an option it can be solar powered. The reader can be mounted on a pole or on an existing wall. A wireless connection is a standard feature of the SLT-100 reader, however other communication methods (such as wide area wireless or satellite) are available. A Windows XPTM or VistaTM computer with Microsoft AccessTM 2002 or newer installed is required for the ROCSScan interface software. An internet connection is needed to interface with a web-based traffic management system or to send TRAINII event reports.
